Most messaging vendors publish a policy that transfers the compliance burden to you in polite language. This one runs the other way. Here is what we take on, what we will not do at any price, and the two things we genuinely need from you.
We provide the checkout and sign-up widget, with the wording, the unticked box, and the separate purpose descriptions that EU rules require. You do not have to draft it or maintain it.
Every consent is stored with its timestamp, the exact wording shown, the page it was given on, and the IP it came from. If a regulator or a shopper asks when and how someone opted in, the answer is one lookup – and it is exportable, so it stays yours if you leave.
In every language we operate in, and in the obvious variants people actually type. It takes effect on receipt, not at the next sync, and it is permanent unless the shopper asks to return. She never argues, never asks why, and never sends a win-back to someone who opted out.
Local to the shopper, not to your office. Defaults are conservative, caps are set against your existing sending, and she will not chase someone who has not replied.
Her first message in any thread says who she is and which shop she works for. There is no scenario in which we let a shopper believe she is something she is not, and we publish a page for shoppers explaining her in plain language.
Sender registration, content restrictions and per-market messaging rules are ours to keep current. When a market changes its rules, we change our behaviour and tell you what changed.
Two things, and we cannot do them for you.
It is your customer relationship and your privacy notice. We are your processor and act on your instructions – our DPA sets that out.
Discounts, holds, returns promises – the commercial limits are your call. She works inside them and will not improvise past them.
If a message from Nellie ever breaks this policy, tell us at privacy@trynellie.com. We will pause the account, look into it, and tell you what we found – including when the answer is that we got it wrong.
This policy describes our operating commitments. Statutory terms live in the terms, privacy notice and DPA.
